Sikeston/Scott County is located in the southeast corner of the State of Missouri. Situated at the northern tip of Missouri’s Bootheel, Sikeston/Scott County is strategically located midway between St. Louis, Missouri and Memphis, Tennessee at the junction of Interstates 55 and 57, and U.S. Highways 60, 61 and 62. With a combined population of nearly 20,000 and a proportionately high number of lodging facilities and restaurants, the Sikeston area serves as the hospitality service center for the Missouri Bootheel.
As a result of its location, Sikeston/Scott County easily serves as a hub for a large and varied number of regional attractions. The area offers visitors natural wildlife refuges, historic homes and sites, museums, arts and antique shopping, and local wineries all within an hour’s drive of Sikeston’s motels and restaurants. This complements established attractions/events such as Lambert’s Café – Home of Throwed Rolls, Sikeston Factory Outlet Stores, and the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo.
